Good app, but laggy/audio problems on 3GS in iOS5.1

If only the app was not so laggy on iOS5.1 on iPhone3GS and did not have these annoying audio issues with the audio breaking up caused by the lag as well...

None of this was a problem on iOS4.1, so perhaps something still needs to be updated for iOS5?
